The essentials
What should I prepare for a consultation?

A short timeline, the names of the parties, and a list of your main questions are a useful starting point. Keep relevant contracts, notices, correspondence, and other records ready. The office can advise which documents to provide through the appropriate channel.

Can I inquire without knowing the practice area?

Yes. Choose “I’m not sure yet” in the inquiry form and briefly describe the concern. The office can help identify the appropriate next step.

How are professional fees discussed?

The initial legal assessment is free. The office will confirm the consultation fee and schedule before an in-person appointment. Fees for further legal services depend on the scope of work and are discussed in an engagement proposal.

Does sending an inquiry engage QLO as my counsel?

No. An inquiry requests a response from the office. Representation begins only after the office accepts the engagement and the arrangements are agreed.

What if I have an upcoming hearing or deadline?

Contact the office directly and state the exact date at the beginning of your message. Sending an inquiry does not confirm that the office has accepted responsibility for a deadline.
